Brand guide builder
A one-page brand guide is the cheapest insurance against an inconsistent brand. Fill in the blanks, watch it build, then save it as a PDF.
In the print dialog choose “Save as PDF” and enable background graphics.
What belongs in a brand guide?
Large companies publish 80-page brand books. Small brands need one page that people will actually read. Ours covers the essentials every freelancer, printer and new hire asks for:
- Mission and audience — why you exist and who you serve, so copy and imagery point the same way.
- Personality — your archetype and voice words.
- Colour — exact HEX and RGB values. Add CMYK and Pantone when you print.
- Typography — headline and body fonts, and what each is for.
- Logo rules — clear space, minimum size and the misuses to avoid.
- Do’s and don’ts — the handful of rules that prevent most mistakes.
Keep it alive
Date your guide, give it a version number and name an owner. Review it every quarter, and send the latest PDF to everyone who touches your brand. When you outgrow one page, a professional guideline adds imagery, iconography, motion and templates — find a studio when you’re there.
